Games For PlayStation Move
Aug 13th
The PlayStation Eye—the all seeing eye, it is a bit different. It is attached to the end of the new controller for the soon to be released, “PlayStation Move,” which competes with the Nintendo Wii and the Xbox Kinect. People love to move and it is the new wave of electronic gaming to be able to control an avatar as if you are in the action yourself. While the PlayStation has added a number of personalized features that separate it from the competition and make it a unique competitor in the chuck-sensor market, it will be the games that will make this system or make it be forgotten.
Games for the PlayStation move include: EyePet, Beat Sketcher, SOCOM 4, Sports Champion, Little League Planet 2, Sorcery (hailed the best title for the new Move) and more. The Move Games list has been crafted to appeal to existing PlayStation gamers as well as bringing new gamers in. Where Nintendo and other game systems released separate systems to play the motion sensor games, PlayStation has taken the objective of keeping the same console and plugging in hardware to add to its game play.
They have made games for every age range. EyePet will appeal to young children while teaching eye hand coordination. Other games such as the newest edition of SOCOM will take on the first person point of view to allow gamers to lurk around cities of destruction and jungles on missions to save, protect and defend. Such games are for mature audiences and zone in on the PlayStation eye to enable the player to aim and shoot with his or her own hand as opposed to a scrolling joystick. Most of the techniques are not new, but the game list is and this is PlayStations take on the increasingly popular hands on gaming style.
Right now, it’s still possible to find a cheap PS3. That’s not going to be the case once holiday season is in full swing. PS Move is going to make the console very hard to find. I strongly recommend that you make a move (pun intended) right now and get the console if you don’t already have one!

The players control the different types of vehicles during the race. These vehicles are usually seven in number and you take control of any of them. Some of these vehicles are rally cars, big rigs, dirt bikes, ATVs, racing trucks, buggies and mudpluggers. You choose the vehicle that you feel you can race well with against other racers.

Wii Dance: Get Fit the Fun Way!
Jun 5th
If exercise is boring and lonely, turn it into a party with one of the great Wii dance games and attachments that go with it! Most of the Wii dance games are quite exciting and fun, so every exercise session will be a dance party (okay, that may be pushing it, but it will certainly spice things up).
Playing Dance Dance Revolution
The most popular dance option for the Wii game console is far and away Dance Dance Revolution (DDR for short). In addition to providing a great way to exercise, this popular video game can be amazing at bringing parents and children together using multi-generational music and dance. Put together a regular routine and this exercise regime can become a motivating factor for quality time spent together.
There are several DDR game bundles that include accessories that can make this the grooviest game in the house. Included in all the bundles is a dance pad for dancing on and learning the steps. Different packages will have different types and qualities of mats, but any of them should work just fine to get you going. And one of the best things about the game and the mat is that multiple players can be involved. This video game allows four players to play at the same time!
Another great feature of the game is the hot tunes that come with the video game. Songs that span over 4 decades will catch the attention of any age. Most of the songs are really timeless dance classics and everyone is sure to find a song that they can relate to. Plus, using the standard Wii accessories like the nunchuks you can control your virtual dancer to make an invigorating whole body workout.
Another great option for Wii dance games is the Dancing with the Stars game. You can take the dance challenge and get moving like you are actually competing on the show. Great at parties, everyone can show case their skills while competing with opponents. Avatars can be famous “Dancing with the Stars” stars such as Mario Lopez and Lisa Rinna, bringing even more fun and laughter to the table. Not only can one dance exciting dance steps such as the Jive, the Tango, a Waltz or even the Mamba, the player can also sing along to their favorite songs as the lyrics scroll across the screen.
This interactive game system is tip top at involving the participants. No home with dance fans or Wii game system should be without this game. This is a game that would even make a wonderful gift for any age. So get moving with Wii dance and and try one of these great games if you haven’t already. Plus, you might even learn some snappy new dance steps at the same time.
Video Games Can Educational, Too
May 11th
I’m sure you’ve heard it one too many times, maybe from your mom or an uncle or a friend who’s got kids of his or her own: “Stop playing those video games! They’re not good for you!” Or these remarks can be as harsh as: “Stop playing those or you’ll end up becoming stupid!” This is good advice and surely there’s a good intent behind those words (hopefully), but still, it remains a generalization. These games, after all, can be good, too, depending on what you play and how you play it.
The main purpose of video games is to entertain, and all games can do that, but what you need to look for, especially if you’re planning on giving a game CD or console to a friend or a child relative, are games that inspire creativity and provide interaction. If you’re going to influence your recipient, or have yourself, stay in front of the TV or computer in a zombie-like state, why not make it educational, right? Pick a game whose violence level is just right to keep the gamer engaged in the story and the game, but not too much to inspire the execution of a drop kick on the next hooded figure he sees in the streets during nighttime. Profane language, whether you admit it or not, is a no-no, especially if you’re picking a game for a child.
Make sure the gamer’s mind is stimulated by what he’s playing—he can be crafting a weapon out of different materials, playing an instrument with a bad, or solving puzzles to get out of a dungeon, but as long as his being sedentary is compensated for by moderate to high brain activity, it’s all good. And interaction? If you’re a parent giving your child the game, why not play it with him? Your kid won’t just enjoy the game; it will also bond you two closer together.
So now do you see how video games’ notorious reputation as violent and pointless can be turned around entirely? All that’s required is some planning before the purchasing of the games, and you can be sure that whoever plays them, whether it’s you or your child or a niece or a friend of yours, there’s sure to be not just enjoyment but also learning.
