On-Premise CRM Providers
There is a lot to consider when first buying a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software package. One major decision is deciding between on-premise or internet hosted software. On-premise CRM, also known as in-house CRM, is located at the company’s own premises and managed by their own employees. The IT personnel of the company are responsible for installing all the components (both hardware and software), integrating the system, using the system and storing all the needed data. Upgrading and maintenance are also conducted by in-house IT.
On-premise CRM can be more cost-effective than hosted CRM packages. This leads to a better return on investment. Couple this with flexibility, functionality and closer integration and an on-premise solution doesn’t look so bad. One of the best things about this type of CRM software is that it is priced cheaply compared to hosted CRM software.
The following are some on-premise CRM software options along with a few of their different capabilities and features.
- Microsoft CRM is an on-premise software that has a strong reputation (Microsoft), synchronization with other Microsoft products, very low prices, and it SQL and .Net server compatibility. It is pretty tough to beat Microsoft at what they do best, software.
- Onyx is another on-premise option. It has a good sales force automation feature and the software is very helpful for managers. It is rather high-priced, but it is backed by VB and SQL database technologies.
- The Pivotal, which is a strong mid-market solution, offers decent prices, great marketing tools, and a moderate VAR channel. It is also supported by VB, .NET and SQL server technology.
- The last of the on-premise CRM providers that we’ll mention today is SAP. SAP, which is one of the leading CRM providers in the world, has excellent ERP integration and SOA architecture. SAP’s ability to get every system in your company talking to each other is nothing short of miraculous.
The demand for on-premise CRM solutions continues to increase as companies look for a more efficient way of handling customer relationship management. On-premise CRM allows the company to have full control over their CRM processes and this is appealing to many companies. Some customer relationship management consulting firms also believe that it offers flexibility, integration, and customization that outweigh the capabilities of many hosted CRM software packages. All companies should find out what the right CRM option is for their business by studying and testing carefully the many available kinds of CRM software in the marketplace.
